 SSC CGL 2017 Eligibility Criteria

Qualification required:

Candidate must have the graduation degree in the required field which must be from the recognized university and board.

Age Limit:

The age of the candidate must lie between 18 years to 27 years of age whereas the age relaxation will be given to the candidate who belongs to the reserved category of up to 15 years of age.

 SSC CGL 2017 Exam Pattern

Tier 1

The Tier 1 examination will be a MCQ type that is it has Multiple Choice Questions that will be going to conduct by an online mode. The paper is divided into 4 sections including the General intelligence and reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension as the subjects. Candidate will get 100 questions in Tier 1 Exam that carries 200 marks in total and the total time taken to complete the exam is 75 minutes. For every correct answer, the department will provide 2 marks whereas for every incorrect answer, the authority will deduct 0.50 marks.

Tier 2

The Tier 2 exam paper will be based on the Multiple Choice Questions and will be going to conduct by an online mode. The Question paper comprises of 4 sections including the Quantitative ability, English language, Statistics, and general Studies where the candidate are required to attempt the Quantitative ability, English and Comprehension which are the compulsory subjects whereas the authority will give General studies paper only for those candidates who had applied for Audit Officer post. Coming to the time duration of the paper, the candidate has to attempt all the questions within 2 hours of time and carries 200 marks paper. For every correct answer, the candidate will get 2 marks and for every wrong answer, the authority will deduct 0.25 marks.

Tier 3

The Tier 3 Exam paper is the descriptive type which is going to conduct by an offline mode where the applicant has to write long essay and letter and carries 100 marks. Candidate has to attempt all the questions within 60 minutes time period.

SSC CGL 2017 Selection Process

The Staff Selection Commission will going to select the candidate based on his or her exam performance in these selection exams that are Tier 1 and Tier 2 exam which is the written examination, Tier 3 which is the descriptive Test and Tier 4 which is the Data Entry Skill test or you can say Computer Proficiency Test. After scoring good marks in all these selection processes, the candidate will then be eligible for the document verification round.
